The visual novel tells the story of the difficult fate of witches in an unusual settlement of children. This world is imbued with magic and the will of powerful divine entities. Spoiler-free review.

The game tells a simple but at the same time large-scale story. The action takes place in a small village.

Personally, I had some dissonance. If we analyze local events, they would be more suitable for an empire or at least a large kingdom. Some of the scenery leads to exactly this idea. But all events take place on several small village streets and a minimal space around this settlement.

I will try to outline the main points of the plot without spoilers.

The society in the game world is extremely contradictory and original. Judge for yourself.

Divine forces and spirits are simply teeming here. Everything is saturated with superstition and witchcraft. The village is inhabited only by children under 18 years of age. When such an age comes, they must die in order to observe their rites. They believe that they will be reborn almost instantly in a new body. The transition to another world is facilitated by a local priestess of death.

The only one who has been trampling the earth for 30 years or so is the Lady. She is the messenger of the gods and, of course, rules the village. The Lady was angry with the witches, who, as she declared, had destroyed her mother. The ruler in every possible way encourages the persecution and lack of rights of witches, even proclaims (and this has magical power) that they have no soul and no rebirth is possible for them. But for some reason the witches remain in the village, although they are constantly attacked.

At the same time, the Casino-palm.co.uk only global task of the circle/order of witches is to conduct a special ritual once every ten years that saves local residents from complete extermination.

In general, such a normal tangle of contradictions turns out. The witches must save the inhabitants, but only so that the mockery of them and lawlessness continue. It’s such a strange balance.

We will play as a witch named Kirfel. Witches have a huge problem. About a week left before the fateful ritual. Dangerous divination must be carried out by four people. As luck would have it, one of the witches died and there were three of them left. The ritual is dangerous, three of the witches will most likely die. And if they fail, then the inhabitants are finished. It is from this delicate situation that Kirfel will look for a way out. What to do? Maybe we can find the fourth witch? But they die a final death, “thanks” to the wrath of the Lady, there is nowhere to take new ones. And the tense social situation does not at all contribute to the desire of people to become witches. The situation is desperate.

Gameplay – visual novel combined with mini-games.

The heroine goes through the main storyline and a few side quests. Secondary quests are very important. As far as I understand, their implementation will even directly affect the ending. So, look for all the quests and try to complete them to the maximum.

There are several types of mini-games. Basically it comes down to clicking the mouse correctly or simple QTEs, in parallel with reading texts. That is, in order to read further or pronounce a phrase, you need to press the button a little. There are also logical ones, such as riddles of the priestess of death and spirits.

Sometimes the missions in the main story are very original. For example, the heroine casts a spell, there is a whole poem of decent size. Then, at the right moment, you need to almost naturally recite it by heart, and even with a timer. Or somewhere some recipe or order of ritual was pronounced, and then it must be remembered exactly. A lot of information on local lore is thrown at the player, so there are plenty of such puzzles.

I completed the game in several evenings with one ending, of which I counted at least three. It’s possible that there are more. It took over 12 hours. The toy seems to be simple, but there is more than enough content in it, especially if you slowly try to delve into the rich local lore. I highly recommend you check it out.

. Good music and sound, the atmosphere matches the game.

. Interesting main plot, good side quests.

. An original system for selecting multiple correct answers in dialogues. Sometimes with a timer.

. Russian text language.

. Sometimes quests are a little difficult if you play without looking at the hints. You need to learn poems, memorize recipes and notice a lot of information.

. Often mini-games come down to clicking the mouse or pressing W and S. Sometimes this happens at the same time, and even decent chunks of text need to be looked at in parallel. This system makes reading difficult.

❌ No obvious ones found. I saw some minor typos in the text, but nothing significant.
